Convenient and independent comfort is provided by the latest generation of intelligent air conditioners. The Truma Sapphire Vario brings versatility and comfort for smaller campers and caravans up to 5.5 metres. The Sapphire Vario weighs in at only 27kg, yet packs up to 2000W of cooling power into a slim line package (800 x 550 x 200mm).
Thanks to its low structural height of only 20cm, the Vario can be installed in the false floor of modern caravans and motorhomes. Installation in the floor or on the floor in a bed locker maintains the centre of gravity of your vehicle, ensuring stability on the move.
The Sapphire Vario is actually three air conditioners in one sealed for life, lightweight enclosure. Three power settings provide versatile cooling to suit your application:
- 600W – quiet running for undisturbed sleep
- 1500W – low consumption cooling for European campsites with 3A fuse protection
- 2000W – maximum cooling power for rapid cooling
Adding the optional TG-1000 Sinus DC inverter enables the Vario to be used on the move or under battery power for short periods. Running time on 12V depends upon battery capacity, state of charge and whether any other 12V appliances are being used.
The Vario has 15 hour advanced programming allows you to pre-cool the living space when you’re still having fun at the beach.

When installed with the TG 1000 Sinus inverter, the Vario is the most versatile air conditioning system available. The intelligent TG 1000 Sinus communicates directly with the Vario controller and automatically detects whether 12V of 230V is available.
